Throughout its establishment and development, UEH has become a key national public university, recognized for its prestige and quality, ranking among the world's top 501+ universities (THE Ranking).

On this development journey, UEH has identified Glo-cal Education as its distinctive educational orientation - connecting Global thinking with Local practice, placing learners at the center, and closely linking academic knowledge with market realities.

To realize this orientation, UEH launches the Inspiring Glo-cal Classes Series, with the goal of progressively transforming UEH's courses to be more practical through the participation of experienced industry professionals.

Criteria for Glo-cal Inspiring Classes

Expert Engagement

Involvement of experts in the field, outside UEH.

Course Content

Courses are designed to connect theoretical knowledge with practical application, encouraging the integration of sustainable development, social responsibility, global contexts, and local concerns.

Course Outputs

Course outputs include major projects or evidence of student participation in addressing practical issues at the local, enterprise, or community level.

Roles of Practical Lecturers at UEH

Senior Industry Fellow

For leading experts, senior managers with high prestige and influence in the business community or international organizations.


  • Qualification Standards: Hold at least a Master's degree and/or currently serve in a key executive leadership position at a corporation, publicly listed company, financial institution, or non-governmental organization (NGO).
  • Experience Standards: Have a minimum of 10–15 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in senior management positions.
  • Contract: Long-term contract duration.
  • Participate in teaching, specialized reports; research guidance; connecting academic knowledge with practice; supporting study tours, research projects; developing applied research.

Specialist Industry Fellow

Intended for professionals who hold internationally recognized professional certifications; middle or senior managers from corporations and large enterprises; or department/division-level managers from provincial or municipal government agencies, with at least five years of professional experience in their respective fields.


  • Participate in teaching, specialized reports; research guidance; connecting academic knowledge with practice; supporting study tours, research projects; developing applied research.

Industry Fellow

Designed for industry experts, managers, and entrepreneurs with extensive practical experience in their professional fields.


  • Qualification Standards: Hold at least a Master's degree and/or currently serve in middle- or senior-management positions within organizations.
  • Contract: Collaboration contract, with annual evaluation for renewal consideration.
  • Participate in teaching, specialized reports, and sharing practical experiences; integrating case studies and business projects into courses; guiding students in practice-linked projects; participating or coordinating applied research and academic-business connection activities as assigned.
